Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Amber Valley

We cannot keep allowing ever increasing immigration. For the last decade government policy in this area has been shambolic — even now they have set no annual limit.

I believe immigration from outside the EU needs to be limited — and I support the Balanced Migration approach put forward by a cross-party group of MPs — see www.balancedmigration.co.uk. 

In short, the number of immigrants from outside the EU should be limited such that overall the number of immigrants should not exceed the amount of people leaving the UK — currently it is predicted to exceed this by 190,000 a year.

A sizeable number of people do leave the UK each year, and so this would allow those in genuine need to come — but much reduce the threat to our jobs — and our overwhelmed public services.
