May 2009 - David Cameron Visits Amber Valley

Nigel Mills was delighted to welcome David Cameron to Heanor to visit Advanced Composites, a successful manufacturing business which employs hundreds of local people.

The visit was held as part of the launch of the County Council election campaign, focussing on the need for regeneration of our towns to provide local jobs for local people – and bring back the vibrancy to the high street.

Nigel Mills commented:

“David’s visit highlighted the importance of building a balanced economy to take Britain forward. We cannot continue down the Labour route of trying to build growth based on debt and a property bubble. We need real businesses and real jobs to help get us out of the mess Labour have created."

“I have been going round businesses in Amber Valley discussing what they need from a Conservative government to help them remain competitive and successful – they want rid of unnecessary regulation, they want to able to recruit skilled people, and they want access to support when they need it."
