About Us
Amber Valley
Conservatives
Amber Valley Conservative Association covers the parliamentary
area of Amber Valley - a diverse and thriving area including
vibrant towns such as Ripley, Heanor and Alfreton, and villages
such as Heage, Codnor, Smalley and Shipley.
Our Association
is led by a team of Officers elected annually by local members,
and supported from our constituency office in Matlock. Our
association chairman is local Councillor Jack Brown MBE.
Conservatives in
Amber Valley are taking a lead in making a cleaner, greener
and safer community.

We have a strong position in control of Amber Valley
Borough Council since 2000.

In 2007 we took control of Ripley Town Council
for the first time since the council was formed.

In 2009 local
Conservatives took control of Derbyshire County Council.

We also have hard working and
dedicated councillors on other local authorities such as Alfreton Town Council and Heanor Town
Council.

Amber Valley - the heart of
Derbyshire
We are proud of our community, and
would welcome anyone to visit our Borough of Amber Valley, known
locally as the Heart of Derbyshire. Amber Valley Borough
includes the parliamentary constituency of Amber Valley, and
parts of the new
Mid-Derbyshire constituency.
With beautiful
scenery forming the setting for a superb range of attractions
which reflect the history and heritage of the area, we would
like to welcome you. Key attractions include the
National Trust's Kedleston Hall,
and visitors to Amber Valley may enjoy the relaxing open spaces
at
Lea and
Belper River Gardens.
