New Council Cabinet line-up has been officially announced

Council Leader Alan Cox made the announcement at Amber Valley Borough Council’s Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday, 20th May 2015.

Councillor Cox said: “We have a strong team, with the knowledge, experience and ability to maintain our clear focus on delivering value for money high quality services. This is a cabinet which will put Amber Valley and its future first.”

A full list of cabinet members is as follows:

Councillor Alan Cox – leader of the council.
Councillor David Wilson – deputy leader and cabinet member for the environment.
Councillor Jane Orton – cabinet member for community safety.
Councillor David Taylor – cabinet member for housing & public health.
Councillor Kevin Buttery – cabinet member for regeneration.

Councillor Alan Cox went on to thank former cabinet members, Councillor Norman Bull, Councillor Steve Hayes and Councillor Chris Short for their valuable contributions to the team during a 14 year period under a Conservative controlled authority. He said “They helped make a positive difference for the people of Amber Valley over the years, which has placed us in a strong position to move forward”.
